WelleWirbelWasserspiel

In the organizer's words:

With Saskia Heinzel (artist, Berlin, Bremerhaven)

The WaveWhirlWaterPlay vacation workshop is all about water: we explore what happens when ice melts, reflections are created or movement meets standstill. The starting point is artist Kitty Kraus' ice lamp, which uses simple materials and chance to make exciting processes visible.

On the first day, we will visit the Kunstmuseum Bremerhaven together, discover the collection and be inspired by Kitty Kraus' work. We will take a close look: What stories does a work of art tell? How do materials change their form and meaning? What do we see?

On the following days, we will go together to our project space in Lehe, the Goethe 45 studio, where we will experiment with water and other materials, research and develop our own creative ideas - freely and playfully. At the end, we will design a small exhibition in which the resulting works will be shown.

For anyone who is curious: The vacation workshop invites children aged 8 and over to explore creatively and develop their own artistic ideas.
