Munich is growing - and with it the conflicts and opportunities of urban development. Between new housing developments and questions about living space, mobility and neighborhoods, the same question arises again and again: "Who owns the city?" or "Who rules the city?" With Bernadette Felsch, head of the working group of the same name at the Munich Forum, we will take a look at current developments and discuss where economic interests meet social needs - and when and where prospects for a vibrant, diverse urban society could open up.

In this five-part series of events, Kritische Nachhaltigkeit in Theorie und Praxis e.V. is working with various experts to shed light on how urban development and social justice are interwoven. The focus is on the question of who has creative power in which urban spaces - and who does not. Together, we want to discuss what cities could look like in terms of a socio-ecological transformation and which neglected perspectives need to be taken into account.
