wenn Klang und Licht erlöschen (Führung für taubblinde Menschen)

In the organizer's words:

when sound and light go out (guided tour for deafblind people)

Voices of deafblind people

Multimedia exhibition with poems by Vladimir Korkunov

What remains when sound and light go out? This exhibition is an invitation to approach a world that we usually do not perceive - and to meet people whose voices are otherwise barely heard. From 25.09. - 09.11.2025, the PATHOS theater is showing the multimedia exhibition wenn Klang und Licht erlöschen in the foyer of the schwere reiter. Based on the cycle of poems by Russian author Vladimir Korkunov, it opens up a sensory approach to the experience of deafblind people: In poems in written, Braille and audio versions, with tactile sculptures and during guided tours with sign language interpreters, we learn what deafblind people last heard or saw. The exhibition is curated by the author Slata Roschal, who has also translated the poems into German, by the artist Felicitas Kirgis and by Anne Schneider and the agency Das Vorzimmer. wenn Klang und Licht erlöschen opens up the space for new forms of perception and makes it possible to experience poetry by seeing, hearing and touching.
