WG-Bigband & friends

Once again this year, the WG big band Wild Groove, the pre-big band Little Wild Groove, the WG rock bands and some solo artists will be jazzing, rocking and grooving in the Theaterstübchen! Under the motto: "Crazy" - a journey through the last 11 years of pop and rock music at the WG and in the Theaterstübchen! After the very successful concert 2025, the formations present their skills and their new repertoire.
Under the professional guidance of various Kassel music professionals, who once again acted as coaches this year (including Kathrin Roppel (vocals), Michael Linke (rhythm section), Nik Scherch and Emil Becker (brass and wood), numerous pieces of different genres were practiced or rehearsed. Tonight, the WG big band will be performing hits such as Crazy in love, Runaway Baby and This is me as well as classics such as Pick up the pieces, Summertime and Crazy little thing called love. The instrumentalists are supported by the brilliant voices of Leona Kübler, Aglea Tayedifar, Rijänna Kleußer and Hanna Pauli.
The supporting big band Little Wild Groove pays homage to heavy metal legend Ozzy Osburne with Crazy train and brings the Stübchen to a boil.
As always, the big bands will be surrounded by various other bands that have been formed at the WG in recent years: in addition to some top-class solo artists, several rock bands will be playing under the direction of Kassel jazz musician Michael Linke. Among others, they will perform the Perfect Wave by Juli and Easy Lover (Phil Collins) - a party atmosphere is guaranteed - cordial invitation!!!
