Black House Whiskyfest 2025

The creators of the traveling whisky bars "The Black House " - best known in Oberhausen as the operator of the temporary Irish pub beer garden "The Irish Rover" and with their bar at the Sterkrader Fronleichnamskirmes - are now bringing a true celebration of whisky to Burg Vondern in Osterfeld once again. The Black House Whiskyfest 2026 starts on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 2 pm.

There will be over 1,000 different whiskies to sample, as well as a dozen different beers and ciders on tap at two bars, including of course the Irish pub standards Guinness and Kilkenny, as well as Lindemans Kriek cherry beer, which has become the number one cult drink for many visitors to past Irish pub beer gardens at the castle. The cult barbecue stand "Der Fleischbräter" will once again be providing solid food with its cyclops skewers and all kinds of vegetarian dishes will also be available. Several musical friends of the Black House team will provide the perfect acoustic backdrop.
