When Grischa Tannberg starts working at the East Berlin Planning Commission, nobody suspects that this shy assistant has a tendency towards subversion. Responsible for trade with Afghanistan, Grischa realizes that there is nothing there to do serious business with. At least nothing - except hemp. He then hatches an ingenious plan that opens up an unexpected source of money for the state. Suddenly, hundreds of young people want to go to the East. When the government in Bonn gets wind of this, things get dicey. But then the East makes the West an offer it can't refuse! Jakob Hein (*1971 in Leipzig) works as a writer and psychiatrist. His book Hypochondriacs Live Longer and Other Good News from My Psychiatric Practice (2020) was on the SPIEGEL bestseller list for weeks. Hein lives in Berlin with his wife and two sons.
