Wiegeling - Rockaby

In the organizer's words:

Rockaby is Frisse Oren's ode to the lullaby.

In a soft, safe environment, a singer, a clarinetist and an oud player engage in musical encounters with the young audience and with each other. Performers and audience are together in a specially designed set with abstract shapes that move, colorful lights and elements that create wonderful sounds. In combination with the music and the performance of the musicians from Frisse Oren, Rockaby becomes a feast for the senses.

The starting point for Rockaby was an Arabic lullaby from the childhood memories of Syrian Jaber Fayad, but in Jaber's compositions you can hear the influence of music from all over the world and from many different eras. The sounds stimulate the imagination and make you smile as you think back to places you may never have visited.
