The trio Wildes Holz has made a name for itself by finally playing rock and pop music on "real" instruments.
And these are, of course, wooden instruments! Especially the common recorder, which gives this music a very special touch.
But what's happening with rock classics should be even more possible with the "real" classics! So Wildes Holz takes on Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Brahms and Telemann - and plays their music as if it were rock classics. And somehow they are.
And the treatment with woody humor, virtuosity and a good pinch of self-irony does these works an extraordinary amount of good! It's not for nothing that the trio has been playing on stages large and small in Germany for 25 years and has thus become a classic in its own right.
Tobias Reisige - recorders
Johannes Behr - guitar
Markus Conrads - double bass, mandolin
