Winter Journey
Song cycle with saxophone orchestra

Nobody looks at me - that's what the lonely protagonist in Winterreise thinks. This archetypal outsider loses himself more and more in himself, and we watch. We play Franz Schubert's famous song cycle in an extraordinary interpretation by composer Jay Schwartz - with tenor and lots of saxophone. The Raschèr Saxophone Quartet expands into a full saxophone orchestra for a few pieces. In our concert design, we look for moments of encounter between artists and audience. We are very close.
