Franz Schubert's Winterreise is the non plus ultra of the art song and opens up an intense musical journey with 24 songs. From dramatic climaxes to quietly intense moments and repressive cheerfulness, a musical dramaturgy is created which, in its interweaving of piano and song, is as rich as an opera or a play and in the Rabbit Hole leads to an intense and approachable experience.

Thomas Huy
Singer

Thomas Huy studied classical singing with Prof. Thomas Piffka at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and has performed as a bass/bass baritone from opera to concert at the Darmstädter Residenzfestspiele 2023 (Aida-Il Re/Ramfis), Wuppertaler Bühnen, Darmstadtium, Essen Cathedral, Tonhalle Düsseldorf and Ruhrtriennale, among others. In addition, he specializes in various concepts of bringing together different art forms and works with a special focus in Düsseldorf. His roles range from singer/performer to director and artistic director. For example, he was part of the main organization/curation of Art Artist 2025, where he coordinated an extensive and cross-disciplinary performance program. At Stadtstrand Düsseldorf, he directs a classical concert series; together with choreographer/ballet director Pascal Touzeau, he runs the company Pascal Touzeau & Co. In digital music theater formats, he works closely with Florian Etti and Caspar Etti.

Stephan Lux
Pianist

Stephan Lux comes from a Thuringian family rich in musical tradition, in which, for example, his great-great-great-grandfather, the Ruhla town cantor Georg Heinrich Lux (1779 - 1861), cultivated a friendship with Franz Liszt. The composer Friedrich Lux (1820 - 1895) is his great-great-great-uncle. Stephan Lux has received various prizes and awards, including first prize at the Bayreuth Piano Competition, a special prize at the International Schubert Competition, the Cultural Promotion Prize of the Westphalian Economy, a prize at the Weimar Competition for New Music and scholarships from the Richard Wagner Society in Bayreuth and the GFBK Hanover, among others. In 1998 he was accepted into the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, and he is also a co-founder and was temporarily president of the International Olivier Messiaen Society. In addition to his work as a concert pianist, Stephan Lux is a sought-after accompanist, chamber musician and concert organist. Concert tours have taken him to the Konzerthaus Dortmund, the Villa Wahnfried Bayreuth, Holland, France, Italy, the ROHSPAG Festival in Brasov (Romania), the "Mitte Europa" festival, Latvia and several times to Japan.
