Even if dragons, unicorns or the Niffler don't really exist, the models for these fantastic creatures are all real. Volker Lohrmann, the insect researcher at the Übersee-Museum, will take you on a search for these role models during his lecture and explain why real animals and plants are at least as exciting as a visit to the movies when you take a closer look. Because whether it's bombardier beetles or ant lions... they can all be found in the Übersee-Museum's collection. And who knows, maybe you'll think up your own fantasy creature afterwards and send Volker a photo of it!
