Wohnzimmerkonzerte Festival

In the organizer's words:

For two years now, small, cozy and acoustic concerts have been taking place on the first Sunday of every month in special and unusual places in Osnabrück.
The concert series "Wohnzimmerkonzerte Osnabrück" enjoys great popularity and can look back on sold-out evenings in theaters, studios, dance schools, coffee roasters, bookstores and much more.
Musicians travel from all over Germany and abroad to give the audience an unforgettable evening.
The special feature: There are no tickets on sale in advance and no Box Office. The only way to secure seats for the living room concerts is to sign up for the mailing list in advance. You will then be regularly informed about upcoming living room concerts.
Even then, you will only find out the exact address of the concert once the tickets have been paid for.
It could hardly be more exclusive!
But the WOHNZIMMERKONZERT FESTIVAL will be different. As a thank you for the successful past two years, the organizers of the Living Room Concerts Osnabrück invite you to the big FESTIVAL - with 4 acts for the price of one - and on the most beautiful stage in town - in the hall of the Lagerhalle!
Ulf Ronnsiek, founder and mastermind of the concert series, will host the evening.

CHARLOTTE PELGEN & JAKE SMITHIES
Inspired by the swing of the 1920s and 1930s, Charlotte Pelgen released her debut album "My Beetle & I" in the fall of 2023 and quickly made a name for herself on the European ukulele scene.
Musically, however, she spans a much wider range. For example, her love of chanson and folk is unmistakable in her compositions.
Charlotte also proves to be a master student of the great songwriters of the 1920s and 30s in terms of content: her lyrics tell small, personal stories, are poetic, clever, cheeky and always entertaining. Her music is a tribute to the artists of earlier eras, but always with a big breeze of Charlotte. Sometimes cheeky and swinging, sometimes delicate and complex.

On this evening: British double bassist Jake Smithies, who is a permanent fixture on the European swing scene with his duo "Dead Man's Uke", among others.

Chansonnier Sebastian Krämer said of Charlotte:
"Singing that is narrative down to the finest nuance; lyric performance that remains entirely music in every intonation, every smile, every frown. Sung, penetrated - first the song, then the listener."

DAVID LÜBKE
New songs - new times
Who actually writes songs like "Der Mond ist aufgegangen" today? The answer is David Lübke. This singer-songwriter newcomer has what it takes to lead the tradition of the old singer-songwriters into the future. This waking dreamer writes beautiful songs full of poetry and wit and looks out of his window at the world. He describes this world in his concerts with pointed stories that he has collected in abundance on his travels. For example, on his so-called "Liedermacher-Walz", where he hitchhiked through the country with his guitar and was allowed to look into people's homes and souls while offering mini-concerts at their doors. This idea reveals a lot about the likeable musician, whose lyrics are always about the core of humanity. He sings to the guitar and 5-string banjo and draws on folk and pop music, which makes his songs contemporary. David Lübke writes new songs for new times. Unpretentious, idiosyncratic, wonderful!
He is currently presenting his new album "Fahrender Sänger" on which, in addition to his own compositions, he also performs folk songs that he has collected all over Germany on his songwriting tour.
German folk music has rarely sounded as lively and fresh as it does here!

THE LAKE AND THE WOLF
can look back on over 800 concerts in the last 10 years with his dreamy, autobiographical songs. He has shared the stage with greats such as Konstantin Wecker, Alin Coen, Wallis Bird and Mine and has already had the pleasure of taking to the exquisite stage of TV NOIR. Peter Urban, presenter of the ESC until 2023, described his music as "extraordinary and genuinely touching".
On stage, Ulf Ronnsiek, as he is known, believes it is important to tell the stories behind his songs. These are sometimes sad, sometimes funny and sometimes extraordinary. But one thing seems certain: a concert with THE LAKE AND THE WOLF is like an autobiographical journey, at the end of which the audience has gotten to know the musician from Osnabrück very well thanks to his songs and stories.

LUDWIG WRIGHT
Ludwig Wright is a British-German songwriter, poet and performer who harmonizes rock 'n' roll and folk with sing-along melodies. Musically, he is the child of Elvis Presley and Joni Mitchell. He therefore combines stage presence and a charming smile with a clear, strong voice and fingerpicking skills. Ludwig Wright crosses genre boundaries, sings in English and has played street shows and over 250 concerts across Europe, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and made a brilliant debut at the Rudolstadt Festival 2023.

Ludwig Wright, who lives in Berlin and has a British father and a German mother, released his first two albums "HOPE" (2018) and "LOVE" (2020) on his own. In August 2023, the third album "Turn of Tides or Where the Waves Come From" was released, which Schall Magazin described as a "colorful kaleidoscope of catchy song pearls" and was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award. For the recordings he was able to win over producer Micki Meuser, who has already worked with greats such as Ina Deter, Silly and Die Ärzte. Ludwig Wright also wrote and sang a song for the fourth film adaptation of Erich Kästner's novel "Das Fliegende Klassenzimmer" together with film composer Freya Arde. He recently released his latest single "Love Letters". He dedicated the song to a friend with the advice: "Have the courage to have feelings".

"Ludwig Wright is a born entertainer and storyteller." Göttinger Tageblatt
