Wohnzimmerslam Jahresfinale

In the organizer's words:

This time it's called: BEST OF Spoken Word in Dortmund! The grand finale of the living room slam. All the winners of the year will compete against each other again and fight for the title: Living Room Slam Champion 2026!

As always, the contributions must not exceed the time limit of six minutes and must be performed without props. The jury will be selected from the audience each evening and may decide whose words have reached the heart, whose jokes have made the room tremble and whose rhymes and metaphors can rival even the established poets from German lessons. The winner gets to take home victory, fame and amore!

Because there are no thematic guidelines for the texts, every slam is a grab bag. It can be personal, funny, political, lyrical, absurd or weird - but always in a good way.

The Wohnzimmerslam has been taking place for over ten years and we want to create our events as safer spaces. Discrimination of any kind has no place here. So that everyone can participate in fantastic word art, there is always an awareness person who is available as your contact person for the evening, answers any questions about toilet paper, menstrual products and accompaniment to the train station and is happy to take criticism and any discomfort. Come as you are: loud, covered up, a little shy, alone or with people, queer or not queer, great and wonderful - however you feel comfortable. We look forward to a feel-good atmosphere and an audience that is simply in the mood for culture.
