Workshop - Clownerie Slapstick

In the organizer's words:

Slapstick refers to a form of physical play that usually does without words and makes people laugh through exaggerated, often surprising movements. One of the best-known representatives of this comic style was Charlie Chaplin, whose films are full of clumsy moments, falls and funny mishaps.
In this course, we will familiarize ourselves with these typical elements of slapstick and also try out various clowning techniques.

The workshop will be led by Jonas Simons from the Hemmschwellungen ensemble. As a trained educator, circus pedagogue and clown, he works full-time as a circus trainer at the Pepperoni Circus in Rockenhausen.
