They say you don't get a second chance to make a first impression. If you step up to the microphone at a reading with confidence and read out your own text with aplomb, you have a clear advantage. If the dramaturgy is right and the evening has a suspenseful arc, the audience will be well entertained and buy the book at the end - and that's what matters!

How do I plan my reading? How can I be convincing vocally? What can I do with stage fright, can I use it? How do I control the situation? Alone on stage or with a moderator? How much do I actually read out, what do I say in between? How do I get into conversation with the audience?

We want to answer these and other questions in this workshop, try out different situations and develop our own personal strategy for attractive events.
