As part of the "Wörterleuchten" series, author Sarah Lor enz will be a guest at the Kafka & Co. bookshop with her novel "Mit dir, da möchte ich im Himmel Kaffee trinken" and actress Caroline Cousin will read texts by Mascha Kaléko - loved and admired by the novel's protagonist Elisa.

Author Sarah Lorenz presents her debut novel in a reading and discussion. The main character is Elisa, who would love to have coffee with Mascha Kaléko in heaven and chat with her about life and love. "You see, Masha, I followed your advice: I was wise and stuck to miracles." And it is also a miracle that Elisa has still managed to cope with her disastrous life. She easily tells the poet Mascha Kaléko, whom she admires so much, about difficult things, about her time in a home, homeless on Cologne's Domplatte, always in search of security, which for a long time she only found in books. But she also talks about her unconditional longing for love, her preference for small thatched-roof houses, frothy cappuccino, books, men, friendship and, above all, the fact that anything is possible. A literary declaration of love to a great poet and to all the wonders that life has in store.
