Hamburg's biggest open reading stage moves into Haus73!

From the meadow to the cozy bar - the Wortwirbel reading stage takes the next step! What began on an Astrakasten stage and a few picnic blankets has developed into Hamburg's largest open reading stage and provided over 800 visitors with varied evenings. ➡️ And now it's off to the cozy indoor ambience of Haus73 🏠

An evening like a literary grab bag awaits you 🎉

Short stories meet poetry, comic readings and experimental texts. Here, Hamburg authors, slammers, comedians, comic artists and other up-and-coming talents from the scene read their favorite works - some already tried and tested, others still hot off the press - and it is precisely this mix that makes every evening unique.

A program as diverse as the people who create it: From thoughtful observations of everyday life to wacky fantasy worlds, from romantic moments to socially critical reflections - the range knows no bounds. Comics are brought to life as PowerPoint with the voice, poems and stories take you on unexpected journeys.

This is not a poetry slam! There is no scoring here and the short slam time limit is a thing of the past! Instead, the readers have up to 10 minutes for their texts - perfect for pieces that have no place in slams. But don't worry, you can't expect hour-long readings from dusty novels either. The atmosphere is relaxed and every text is given the space it deserves.

Indoors at last: at Haus73, you can expect not only our literary entertainment, but also a cozy bar with refreshing drinks. And it's right in the center of Hamburg.

So: grab a drink, lean back and be surprised by Hamburg's diverse cultural scene! 🥂
