Would You Rather?

Would you rather have unlimited money or unlimited time? Would you rather smell with your ears or hear with your nose? Would you rather be a mouse or an elephant? A bunch of questions between absurdity, fantasy and the agony of choice.

Would you rather...?, the game from shared kitchens, becomes an artistic method this winter. Reality becomes fluid in the fantasy scenarios of the would-you-rather universe - and OPEN HOUSE swims along. Between drastic dualities and tender details, a space opens up: for conversations, art and everything in between.

OPEN HOUSE asks itself questions. Questions that may give hope, that may polarize. Questions that are probably a bit weird. But a decision must always be made between the scenarios and their alternatives. What do they say about us, how do they become art, how does this shape a process?

Research or play? Perhaps both. OPEN HOUSE questions itself - open to new methods. Questions are collected along the way and new ones are sown; quick steps towards the open door. Are you coming over or would you rather...?

OPEN HOUSE is a self-organized group of young people and young adults who want to work politically and self-determinedly in the theater before professionalizing themselves. Professionalization in theater has many thresholds: the education threshold, the income threshold, the age threshold. Many - especially young - people bounce off these thresholds and fail to make it into the elite world of theater.
