The Youngsters are the music school's youngest wind orchestra for beginners to ensemble playing. They will open the concert under the direction of Susanne Barr. The instrumentation is varied - with flute, oboe, several trumpets and clarinets, saxophone, euphonium, trombone and percussion. The youngsters have prepared a colorful and varied program with many different arrangements for beginners' ensembles - there will also be one or two winter arrangements to be heard.
The Max Bruch Wind Orchestra (MBO) will perform the second part of the concert. The ensemble, in which the advanced students play, will be heard for the first time under the direction of Tobias Fehse. Pieces from various genres will be performed - from rock/pop and film music to original literature for symphonic wind orchestra.
As an encore, both ensembles will be seen and heard together on stage.
