Zines are raw, direct and personal. They emerge from the moment - between sketch, text, image and chance. In this workshop, participants will develop their own little booklet: from the initial idea to the printed zine in their hands.
The course is aimed at people who want to switch gears after the working week: to learn something new, to be creative without pressure to perform or simply to work analog again.
No previous experience is necessary - curiosity is enough.
What we do:
On a relaxed Friday afternoon, we will explore classic drawing and printing techniques and combine them freely:
- Drawing with graphite, ink and Edding
- Working with line, surface, lettering and image
- Introduction to simple lino printing techniques
- Collage with found material, text fragments and images
- Layout, folding and duplication of zines
The focus is not on "perfect" results, but on expression, attitude and having fun. Sketches may remain visible, mistakes become part of the design.
Procedure & atmosphere:
The workshop is intended as an open, experimental space: short inputs, lots of individual work, exchange within the group. Music, coffee, conversations - more like a studio than a classroom. Everyone works at their own pace and develops an individual zine or several small booklets.
At the end, each person holds a self-designed zine in their hands - to take away, swap or think about further.
Who this workshop is for:
- For after-work people who want to switch off creatively at the weekend
- For curious people who want to try out drawing, printing or collage
- For anyone who enjoys analog processes and small publications
Our aim:
The workshop teaches low-threshold artistic techniques and shows that art doesn't have to be big, expensive or elitist - sometimes a sheet of paper, a pencil and a good idea are enough.
