Santino is a circus child. His great-grandfather is one of the last great circus directors in Germany and tells him the stories of his ancestors - of his friendship with an elephant, of goodbyes, new beginnings and his first steps as a clown in the circus ring. ZIRKUSKIND tells of growing up with an extended family and animals, of the fascination of the circus and of those who have been bringing art and entertainment to the circus ring for generations.
