On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Waiblingen Senior Citizens' Council, in cooperation with the Waiblingen Alliance for Democracy, invites you to an open citizens' dialog at the Kulturhaus Schwanen. The event starts at 6:30 pm and admission is free. Under the heading "ALT.KLUG.DEMOKRATISCH", representatives of the democratic parties and members of the Waiblingen Seniors' Council will discuss questions that concern many people: What can democracy and the welfare state do for older people? And what contribution can older people themselves make to a stable and cohesive society?

The moderated discussion aims to build bridges - between generations, political positions and realities of life. Instead of exchanging blows, the focus is on joint reflection: on respect, responsibility and the value of living democracy. Questions and suggestions from the audience are also expressly welcome.

At a time when social tensions are increasing and trust in politics and institutions is waning, this evening aims to encourage people to keep talking to each other. Democracy thrives on participation - and on people contributing their experiences. ALT.KLUG.DEMOKRATISCH is an invitation to all those who believe that exchange can achieve more than isolation.
