Shaping the future

The Giersch Museum at Goethe University becomes a laboratory for the future! A varied program around the exhibition Fixing Futures awaits you at the Museumsuferfest 2025 - with guided tours, a children's program, a literary foray and a special look into possible futures:

- Guided tours: Fri, 5pm | Sat & Sun, 3pm & 5pm

- Tarot readings with Pêdra Costa | Sat & Sun, 12-5pm - 3rd floor | No registration, first come, first served

Insights, impulses, intuition: Brazilian performer and anthropologist Pêdra Costa offers 30-minute tarot sessions - individual, queer-feminist and spiritual. Available in several languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese and on request also in German with translation).

- PLACES OF ONE'S OWN: FOR ME: Sat 1 pm
Presentation of the collages created in workshops with Jordan Rita Seruya Awori in the tent in front of the museum

As part of the PLACES OF ONE'S OWN format, women explored the technique of collage with artist Jordan Rita Seruya Awori on five dates together with the KONE e.V. & MGGU association. In addition to the artistic work, the focus was on personal freedom: time FOR ME! - for self-reflection and creative development, far away from the stresses of everyday life. The resulting collages not only reflect individual stories, but also the joint process of coming to terms with role models, identity and self-confidence. The "Places of One's Own" format is part of the PLACES TO SEE project.

During the Museumsuferfest, admission from Friday, August 29 from 3 p.m. up to and including Sunday, August 31 is only possible with a Museumsufer button. The button is available at the museum ticket office for 7 euros during this time.
