The all-round theater genius Arthur Romanowski undertakes a radical and subjective attempt to come to terms with death. He tells of his father's mental illness and death, which was probably a suicide, but also of the life stories of his parents, who immigrated to Germany from Poland in 1986. Romanowski, inimitably fearless, ventures into the underworld, at the end of which is a celebration of life. He is accompanied by a puppeteer and the legendary Frankfurt Yodel Club. They wander through grotesque worlds, encounter AI-generated avatars and never lose their deeply touching sense of humor. Only death brings the laughter that sometimes gets stuck in the throats of the living.
