Two Voices - Songs between us

A concert evening with Natasha Kitavi and Kim Mira Meyer

Windhoek singer-songwriter Natasha Kitavi and Bremen-born musician and director Kim Mira Meyer have more in common than just their love of music: a deep friendship that has grown out of their joint artistic work and the desire to tell stories across cultural boundaries.
Together they create a concert program that goes far beyond a musical performance. With two voices and a piano, they open up a space for exchange, remembrance and new perspectives. The focus is on the exploration of Namibian-German history - a topic that touches both artists in a very personal way.
In their songs, they weave biographical experiences, musical roots and social issues into a multi-layered dialog. Despite their different backgrounds, they find common answers to questions about belonging, identity and the desire for mutual understanding.
Their music becomes a bridge between continents - poetic, powerful, thought-provoking. A concert evening that moves, connects and opens up new ways of remembering.

This evening will be sung and spoken in German, English and Otjiherero.
