Resi (Sarah Mahita) and her three friends actually just wanted to go on a carefree trip to the Alps, but fate has other plans: a tragic accident brings their journey to an abrupt end - and they find themselves in the "Zweigstelle", a curious afterlife agency in the middle of Bavaria. There, the four are faced with a fateful decision: Will Elysium, rebirth or purgatory await them?
When the officials at the branch office realize that the clique doesn't believe in anything - neither in God nor in life after death - things get complicated. Between forms, absurd interrogations and heavenly chaos, Resi and her friends struggle to take their fate into their own hands. It soon becomes clear that not only death is unpredictable, but also life - or what comes after it.
