A house of music in Bochum

After around 15 years of joint work, countless campaigns and charity events, thanks to the invaluable commitment of many sponsors and supporters and, last but not least, the civic involvement of over 20,000 donors, the Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr was opened at the end of October 2016!

Since the Bochum Symphony Orchestra moved in, the Musikforum has developed into a hub of cultural city life. The building complex with its three venues offers a wide range of concert formats and musical experiences: The range of concerts on offer extends from relaxed party evenings with lounge music in the church to readings and education projects in the small hall and brilliant orchestral concerts with large ensembles.
