Aplerbeck is a district of the independent city of Dortmund in North Rhine-Westphalia. Around 56,000 inhabitants live in this district, which covers an area of approx. 25 km². The district is divided into the sub-districts of Aplerbeck, Berghofen, Schüren, Sölde and Sölderholz. Aplerbeck was first mentioned in a document in 899.
