The Artificial Family is a free cultural center at the Grüner See in Mühlheim am Main - a place for music, culture and leisure.

The association Artificial Family e.V. was founded in 1992 on the initiative of young musicians and people interested in art and culture. The aim was to create a binding organizational framework for independent cultural initiatives and to establish a permanent space for jointly organized cultural work.

The association's articles of association were adopted on 26 April 1992; the association has been entered in the register of associations and recognized as a non-profit organization since 1994.

Projects & initiatives

Over the years, numerous programs and initiatives have been developed, including

Events & festivals

At the heart of our work is the annual quarry festival, which has been taking place since 1993 and is well known beyond the city limits.

Promoting young talent

The promotion of young artists is a focal point of our association's work. This includes

A milestone in the history of the association was the realization of the "Öko-Kulturhaus project". The decision of the then owner to hand over the building to the Artificial Family was largely due to the extraordinary commitment of the association - driven by the energy and dedication of its members.

The building has been known as the Artihaus ever since it was built on the association's premises at Grüner See. It forms the spatial basis for our cultural work.
