Art rental for everyone & gallery of contemporary local art
At the Artothek, you can borrow one or more of the 2000 or so art originals from our collection for your home or office for just a few euros a month. Simply ask our team for advice on site (directly in Burgstraße near Marienplatz) and take it with you!

As one of the six art spaces of the Munich Department of Culture, we also offer professional, contemporary artists from the local art scene the opportunity to present their art to the public every year in solo, group and themed exhibitions in the Bildersaal.

We also regularly host artist talks, performances, guided tours and workshops related to our current exhibitions and collection.
