OLD WALLS - NEW IDEAS

We are the "Bilker Bunker": a non-profit cultural institution that promotes social exchange through art. To this end, we have transformed the massive architecture of the historic building into a free space for creative expression, without disregarding its original intention. What was intended as a civilian shelter has become a protected space for experimental art and cultural formats.

Behind the meter-thick concrete walls, the "Bilker Bunker" opens up an innovative free space for creative expression and social exchange. The historic site is being preserved; its history is being told and rewritten. As a non-profit cultural institution, the "Bilker Bunker" is lively, interactive and open to all. In addition to art, culture and music, it offers space for leisure, fashion, sport and innovative concepts on a total of seven floors.

EXHIBITION ROOMS IN THE BILKER BUNKER

Changing contemporary art formats and an experimental cultural program find their space on two floors. Disciplines, positions and protagonists are boldly combined here. This creates a lively, open exchange that emotionalizes, opens up spaces and sets thoughts free.

People with disabilities and accompanying persons have Free admission and do not need a ticket. The exhibition is barrier-free.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the Bilker Bunker.
