Bürgerhaus Vegesack

The Gustav-Heinemann-Bürgerhaus in the heart of Vegesack is as colorful and diverse as the district itself. People of all ages meet here - for a quick chat in the cafeteria or at one of the many activities that staff and users create every day. There are courses offered by the Bremen-Nord Adult Education Center, which is based here, as well as meetings of various groups that have "their home" in the community center.

The in-house Circus Tohuwabohu turns hundreds of children into little stage stars every year. And while the senior citizens' creative get-together focuses on activities for older citizens, media enthusiasts aged 9 to 99 experiment with productions for short films, radio and much more in the "Bürgerhaus medial".

There is also plenty to experience culturally in the community center: In the small "hall", the Studiobühne, for example, the Statt-Theater Vegesack provides dramatic moments and the Erste Lesumer Fernsehen provides special cinema experiences. In addition, established artists also step into the limelight in the building: the modern concert hall offers space for up to 600 people interested in culture and is also used for large parties in the district. The Gustav-Heinemann-Bürgerhaus was opened in 1977.
