Not far from the city centre, 4.5 hectares of the former barracks site "Rochdale Barracks" invite you to take part in sporting, cultural, social and neighborhood activities. As part of the initial use for the future development of the district, there is space here for sport, consumer-free recreation in the pocket park and the realization of creative ideas.

Built in the 1930s as a Wehrmacht intelligence barracks, taken over by the British Army after the Second World War and used for military purposes until 2020 - history is now being written here: Planning for the Rochdale circular quarter is underway. Before Bielefeld residents find their new home here, the former "non-place" is already being transformed into an urban living space for the neighborhood and urban society.
