The Stephaniviertel is located at the interface between the old town and Überseestadt. When Radio Bremen and the adult education center moved into the Bamberger-Haus, a rapid urban development was initiated.
The Bremen Protestant Church responded to this lively change by establishing the cultural church of St. Stephani. St. Stephen's Church has shaped the district for almost 900 years. As a cultural church, it is involved in the cultural discourse and makes its own specific contribution to the people-friendly urban development of this district.
