for surreal art
The Augsburg surrealist Wolfgang Lettl, who died in 2008, left behind an oeuvre of over 500 paintings.
In accordance with the artist's wish to preserve his work for the city of Augsburg and make it accessible to the public, the Wolfgang Lettl - Verein zur Förderung surrealer Kunst e. V. was founded in 1992.
To mark the 100th birthday of Wolfgang Lettl, the new "LETTL Museum" was opened in the heart of the city.
