The LICHTHOF Theater sees itself as a production house, experimental space and venue for the independent performing arts. Artists from all disciplines develop and present productions here that are close to current events.

We cooperate with groups and venues in Hamburg and beyond. The LICHTHOF promotes a broad artistic exchange, also across genre boundaries, and sets impulses in the local scene and beyond.

A particular focus is on the promotion of young talent. Graduates of Hamburg's training institutes find space and support in the realization of their first projects outside the training context. Performers, directors, choreographers, set designers, costume designers, dramaturges, actors, musicians, lighting designers and other up-and-coming artists take their first steps in independent theater with us.
