REAKTOR is a private, transdisciplinary art institution in Vienna's 17th district of Hernals, located at Geblergasse 40. The venue was opened on 16 February 2018 in the listed building of the former Grand Établissement Gschwandner - a legendary Viennese event venue whose historical spatial organization with three event halls was carefully restored in the course of the renovation and supplemented with contemporary technical infrastructure.

On around 1,200 m², different forms of artistic expression are brought together and made accessible to the public - including film, expansive art, music theater, new music, jazz and experimental music. REAKTOR sees itself as a presentation space, workshop, initiator, client and producer.

The programming is guided by themes on the event horizon of personal existence and society, which are made visible through art in a cross-border and unusual way. The audience can thus expect a varied salon of the arts - embedded in a listed building that is one of the most magical venues in Vienna.
