Association

The focus of our activities is an underground toilet facility that has not been used for over ten years,
underground toilet facility in the center of Düsseldorf. We borrowed the name cleanroom from the field of microelectronics. The purpose of cleanrooms there is to create a defined space in which work can be carried out under "clean" conditions.

While operators of cleanrooms require proof of suitability for the use of equipment in accordance with VDI draft guideline 2083 sheet 8, cleanroom suitability in our sense is already given in accordance with the hygiene requirements:

- low odor
- grease-free
- sterile disinfected

The aim now is to use this formerly quiet place as a platform for cultural and artistic activities. Be it through exhibitions or artistic performances of all kinds.

The clean room is located at Adersstr. 30a, below Jahnplatz. It is approx. 60 m² in size and is characterized by its special ambience. The reinraum lives with and from the initiative of its members.
