With around 900 visitors a day, the Central Library on Hallmarkt is one of the most popular cultural institutions in the city of Halle. On three floors, the library offers a wide range of fiction, non-fiction, magazines and audiovisual media. Children and adults can choose from a stock of around 116,000 media. There is also an art library with over 600 original works by Halle artists. There is a separate area for young people called 360° - the youth media library.
