The Tafelhalle is a versatile event and production venue, part of the KunstKulturQuartier, which is run by the city. Its program focuses on various music genres, the independent dance/theatre scene and cabaret. There are also festivals and special galas.

The Tafelhalle offers a programmatic antithesis to the city/state theaters in the region: unconventional, experimental, close to the audience, diverse and innovative are terms that describe the program and artists. Artistic creative processes with sustainability are created here, as are long-standing connections to institutions in Nuremberg's independent cultural scene, nationally and internationally renowned choreographers, dance artists and companies.

In the field of dance and theater, the Tafelhalle sees itself as a co-producer and partner of Nuremberg's independent scene. It offers up-and-coming artists as well as established choreographers, directors and dancers a stage and is the initiator of interdisciplinary projects and new, unconventional event formats.
