theater pfütze - A stage for great emotions and young audiences in Nuremberg since 1986

Since 1986, Theater Pfütze has stood for artistically sophisticated, yet approachable and family-friendly theater for young audiences in Nuremberg. We bring stories to the stage that come from the heart of life: Stories of heroes who dare to be brave - and to show their fears. Our productions open doors to the imagination, create space for your own thoughts, images and feelings and encourage both young and old audience members to play an active role in shaping their lives.

A particular focus is on musical theater: With the jungeMET - founded in 2012 together with the Stadttheater Fürth - this genre has been given its own artistic home (until 2024). Another long-standing cooperation partner is the Staatstheater Nürnberg. Original compositions for almost every production and live music on stage characterize the unmistakable Pfütze style.

The dramatization of important children's and young adult novels is also part of our artistic profile - often in close collaboration with the authors themselves.

For school classes, we offer special theater experiences in a double pack: with preparatory theater pedagogical workshops including playful exercises, exchange and curiosity - or alternatively with a follow-up discussion on stage, directly in dialogue with the ensemble. Cultural participation and involvement are very important to us: in our four theater courses, children and young people between the ages of 8 and 20 can get creative themselves, bring their topics to the stage and also help shape the theater in an advisory capacity.
