The theaterkontor is a workshop building for Bremen's independent creative scene. It houses various cultural initiatives and offers rehearsal and course rooms, offices, studios and performance spaces.

The rooms can be used cost-effectively and temporarily. The theaterkontor thus enables artists outside the established cultural institutions to realize their projects. The theaterkontor organizes various events and festivals.

The theaterkontor's supporting association is Neue Gruppe Kulturarbeit e.V.
