The exhibition

The Vegesack Story House brings the history of the north of Bremen to life. The experience begins as soon as you walk through the door. In short theater scenes, the actors take you back to Vegesack in the 19th century. Visit the legendary Lange shipyard, talk to the craftsmen about their work or drink to a long life in the harbor tavern and above all: don't get caught when the harbor master makes his rounds again!

A guided tour of the exhibition usually lasts around 60 minutes.

The initiative

The Vegesack Story House is a project for the long-term unemployed. Under professional guidance, the performers learn the basics of acting, train their voice and lines as well as their stage presence. The positive response from the audience helps them get back into working life.
