Oktoberfest Munich

The Wiesn - as Munich locals affectionately call the Oktoberfest - is the largest folk festival in the world. Every year, millions of people flock to the Bavarian capital to celebrate together. The festival has been around since 1810 and is getting bigger, louder and more colorful. Beer tents, rollercoasters, a Ferris wheel and, of course, lots of Bavarian tradition await you. Useful tips for your visit to the Wiesn: ✔️ Make a reservation: If you want a table in one of the large beer tents, it's best to book well in advance. They fill up quickly! ✔️ Getting there: It's best to leave your car at home and come by public transport. The subway will take you directly to Theresienwiese. ✔️ Get there early: Especially at the weekend, it's worth arriving early to get a place in the tents. The Wiesn is an incomparable event that you have to experience once in your life.
