From August 2 to 23, PHRE presents local and international artists of experimental pop music. On stage will be 30 bands and DJs from Haiti, England, Sweden, Guatemala, Spain, Ghana, Japan, Mexico, Afghanistan, Italy and other countries. What you hear is not world music, but decolonial and progressive trends in contemporary music. The name of the festival is inspired by the Afrofuturist Sun Ra, who defied genre boundaries with the term PHRE.
