Neighbourhood, the party series and label of UK techno mainstay Tasha, returns to Blitz for a night of bass-driven techno and plenty of surprises. Celebrating its 15th anniversary tour, Neighbourhood was founded with the aim of (re)establishing devoted techno nights in London — and has since grown into a respected party platform and label in its own right.
On the line-up is Marcel Dettmann, long on Neighbourhood’s wishlist. Well, the Ostgut-Ton legend is one of our favorite regulars, too. Reaffirming the punk in techno with their raw live sets, are Paranoid London, cutting across gay Chicago house and Detroit techno, with influences of New York punk as well as New Wave too, just like the early Marcel Dettmann. With roots in drum & bass before moving into techno, Tasha brings her own take: grooving Techno infused with the UK’s multifaceted rhythms. Closing the circle is Stenny, Blitz resident, Neighbourhood regular, and Ilian Tape core member, adding spiced up flavours with his sharp mix of techno, bass music, IDM and beyond.
