Metaverde, also known as Marie Midori, is a Swedish-Japanese artist born and based in Berlin, Germany. Influenced by their multicultural background and fascinated by sound(s), the natural world, and the whimsical tales of Japanese anime, metaverde enjoys digging between genres in search of pieces that defy easy categorization.
The name metaverde—“between green”—directly references their given name Midori, which means “green” in Japanese.The color symbolizes balance, harmony, and nature, offering a refuge from the demands of modern life—values the artist aims to reflect in their sets.
