In dem poetischen Kurzfilm und afro-surrealistischen Traum ZWARTE IBIS macht sich eine junge Frau im Spannungsfeld zwischen sich und den Anderen, dem Persönlichen und dem Politischen auf die Suche nach sich selbst. Der Animationsfilm STARS erzählt von den Nommo – außerirdischen afro-hermaphroditischen anthro-amphibischen Migrant:innen. Abgründe tun sich auf, als die beiden zerstrittenen Schwestern und ihre Töchter zur Beerdigung des Familienoberhauptes BLANCHE in einem französischen Dorf aufeinandertreffen. RENTRONS: Nouria ist mit Abdel befreundet, einem Franzosen, der in Algerien lebt und arbeitet. Nach einer Wette fahren sie mit ihren Mopeds die Mittelmeerküste entlang. Ihr Ziel: an Bord eines Schiffes zu gehen, das sie nach Frankreich bringt. Die fünfzehnjährige GIOIA führt ein langweiliges Highschool-Dasein. Abends lässt sie ihrer Leidenschaft freien Lauf: Afro-Tanz. Als sie diese Aktivität mit Amandine, einer beliebten Highschool-Schülerin, teilt, prallen ihre beiden Welten aufeinander.

In the poetic short film and Afro-surrealist dream a young woman sets out in search of herself in the field of tension between herself and others, the personal and the political. The animated film STARS tells the story of the Nommo – extraterrestrial afrohermaphroditic anthro-amphibian migrants. Abysses open up when the two feuding sisters and their daughters meet in a French village for the funeral of the head of the family, BLANCHE. RENTRONS: Nouria and Abdel, a Frenchman living and working in Algeria, have become friends. Following a bet, they take to the road along the Mediterranean coast by moped. Their aim: to board a boat that will bring them to France. Fifteen-year-old GIOIA, leads a boring high school existence. In the evenings, she gives free rein to her passion: Afro dance. When she shares this activity with Amandine, a popular high school student, their two worlds collide.
