Walk so silently that the bottom of your feet become ears.“ — Inspiriert vom Geist Pauline Oliveros‘ vereint Feet Become Ears eine neue Generation von Komponist:innen und Musiker:innen, die erforschen, wie und wo wir hören und welche Erwartungen wir an zeitgenössische Musik haben. Verwurzelt in Minimalismus und Postminimalismus baut das Kollektiv auf Errungenschaften der amerikanischen Avantgarde auf und schafft Raum für offenes, neugieriges und verbindendes Hören. 2025 kehrt Feet Become Ears mit einer neuen Saison ausschließlich in Leipzig zurück. In drei Konzerten begegnen sich jeweils ein:e Solokünstler:in und ein Ensemble.
Das Anzû Quartet ist ein in New York beheimatetes Ensemble, das sich ganz der Musik von heute widmet. Inspiriert von Olivier Messiaen's Quatuor pour la fin du temps beauftragt und spielt es neue Werke für die gleiche Besetzung sowie Neuinterpretationen des Originals. Seit ihrer Gründung 2020 ist Anzû in Europa und den USA aufgetreten und arbeitet mit Komponist:innen wie Anna Webber und Mario Diaz de Leon. Die Mitglieder—Olivia De Prato, Ashley Bathgate, Ken Thomson und Karl Larson—sind führende Stimmen der aktuellen Musikszene und prägen Formationen wie Bang on a Can All-Stars, Mivos Quartet und Ensemble Signal.
Anthony Romaniuk ist ein genre-fluider Pianist, dessen musikalische Stimme seine klassische Ausbildung mit einer Liebe für Jazz, Alte Musik, Improvisation und experimentelle Klänge verbindet. Genauso sicher am Klavier, Cembalo oder Synthesizer tritt er weltweit als Solist und Kammermusiker auf und arbeitet u.a. mit Patricia Kopatchinskaja und Vox Luminis zusammen. Seine gefeierten Soloalben bei Alpha Classics erkunden die Grenzen des klassischen Repertoires durch kühne Programmgestaltung und klangliche Vielfalt.

Rooted in minimalism and postminimalism, the collective builds on the legacy of the American avant-garde and creates space for listening practices grounded in openness, curiosity, and connection. In 2025, Feet Become Ears returns with a new season taking place exclusively in Leipzig. Across three evenings, each concert pairs a solo artist with an ensemble, creating juxtapositions of intimate expression and collaborative sound.

The Anzû Quartet is a New York–based ensemble dedicated to the music of today. Inspired by Olivier Messiaen’s Quatuor pour la fin du temps, they commission and perform new works for the same instrumentation alongside reimaginings of the original masterpiece. Since forming in 2020, Anzû has appeared across Europe and the U.S., working with composers like Anna Webber and Mario Diaz de Leon. Anthony Romaniuk is a genre-fluid keyboardist whose musical voice blends classical training with a love for jazz, early music, improvisation and experimental sounds. Equally at home on piano, harpsichord or synths, he performs worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician, collaborating with artists like Patricia Kopatchinskaja and Vox Luminis. His acclaimed solo albums on Alpha Classics explore the boundaries of classical repertoire through bold programming and timbral variety.
