Vernissage: November 10th, 6-10 pm (with music & drinks)
Founded by Mohammed Timraz (Gaza) and Féile Butler (Ireland), HeART OF GAZA began as an exchange of children’s art over WhatsApp.
The first exhibition took place in Ireland in July 2024, showcasing artworks by twelve living and two murdered children. Since then, exhibitions in multiple cities around the world took place and, currently, almost 100 artworks by 26 children are part of it.
In June 2024, the team built The Artists’ Tent in Deir al Balah, a children’s art workshop, which ran regularly until the “ceasefire” was broken in March 2025. In July 2025, the workshops started again, this time in nine venues across the Gaza Strip.
The workshops allow children to reclaim a fragment of their childhood, to gather in friendship and create art to process their world, share their memories and express their emotions.
This exhibition is a platform for the most vulnerable, the most voiceless and the most impacted by the genocide in Gaza. It gives them a voice to share their reality with the world. These are individual children presenting their individual experiences.
Each piece of art is accompanied by the name, age and photo of the children and their own description of the work.
The window exhibition is illuminated daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
